No, not this torchlight.

This TORCHLIGHT.
Yes, it’s another game that i’ve came cross recently. Thanks to my not-so-good friend Trent, right now i’m having a massive addiction on this game. Yes, Blizzard, since you’re a slowpoke, i had to betray you …oh wait. It was developed by the same group who do Diablo 1 and 2. I guess i’m not betraying after all… maybe.
But anyway, let’s go straight to the point on why i (or maybe you?) even bother playing this game. Yes, I’m trolling you to play this game. HAHA!
First, it reminds me of Rogue, which is a very old jurassic park age of game. And.. i’m too lazy to explain that. Go google. Storyline well.. how to explain this. Basically you came to Torchlight town due to it being the only place that have a lot of ‘Ember’ (will explain later on, continue reading) and from there, you will meet Syl and her pal, Brink during the first encounter with the enemy that try to invade the town. Their master called them to the town for some reason to assist him in seeking a shard called ‘Ember’ which possess a magnificent amount of energy that can help civilizations. But then things go wrong, and you have to fight your way through a series of dungeons to save the world from the brink of destruction. If you ever played a game called Diablo, it’s the same thing, just you won’t be fighting the prime evils from hell. To make it simple, you kill the monsters to save the world. That’s it.
You can create three different types of Heroes, which is Destroyer, a melee fighter, Alchemist. which is a spellcaster, and lastly Vanquisher which is a Rogue (use daggers and traps). Each possess unique abilities to help you on your quest to save the world. Sadly, you can’t set gender to your Hero, and the only female in the team is Vanquisher.
As you progress through running quest and killing monsters, you will gain a level up which gives you an option to put points on your stats and skills to help you. In this game, You will gain fame as you kill a lot of bosses enemies and it will let you add 1 skill point in your skill tree per fame level up.
I’m not going to explain much on the controls, but the most important controls are simple, your numpad key is the one which will trigger your assigned skills on the quick bar as shown on the picture below :

Your left click will let you maneuver your character around by simply left clicking on the ground that you wish to go. Right click however lets you quickly use your spells / skills that you already learned in your skill tree. You may assign scrolls ( Town portal scroll which let you return to Torchlight town to sell stuff, submitting quest, etc and Identify scroll to let you identify an unidentified item that you gained from the monster you killed) as well on your right click. I won’t explain to you how to assign it, as you will learn how to take advantage from doing this during gameplay. Else, if you still doesn’t know how to do it, please shoot yourself in the head.
There are 5 types of equipments that you will get after killing monsters,
White is a normal quality of an item, while an item with non-white text means it is a magical item.
Green which is Magic,
Blue for Rare,
Yellow/Gold for Unique,
Purple/Pink for Set Item (You have to collect up and equip to more than one different parts to actually benefits added enchantments that was shown in the set description)
KEY FEATURES ON THE GAME :-
